3 Reasons Why You Should Fully Trust Your Wedding Photographer

When you first get engaged, the amount of vendors you have to think about booking can be overwhelming. Although it’s important to do your research for every vendor and a lot of times you have to act fast as vendors and venues book up far in advance, choosing a wedding photographer is not something you should rush! You are going to be spending a lot of time with your photographer and will probably look at their work everyday for the rest of your life, so it’s crucial that you select a photographer whose work you love and who you can fully trust. Here are three reasons why you should fully trust your wedding photographer.

1. You’ll spend more time with your wedding photographer than anyone else on your wedding day.

It may sound dramatic, but your photographer will most likely be the person you spend the majority of your time with on your wedding day! From the time you start getting ready until you and your new husband or wife take off in your getaway car, your photographer will be with you all day. You definitely want to make sure this is someone you vibe with and who makes you feel comfortable and happy. When talking with potential photographers, thing about if this someone who seems like they can handle any curveballs that come their way, who can calm your nerves, and can avoid a stressful situation before it happens. All of those things will translate into you being more at ease on your wedding day.

2. You will feel lighter and happier on your wedding day

If you don’t vibe with your wedding photographer, you will feel stiff and uncomfortable the whole time you’re around them, which is essentially your entire wedding day. Just trusting them alone will eliminate a whole bunch of worries you might have throughout the day. It’s as simple as thinking about which friends and family members you want around you on your wedding day to pump you up, help you relax when needed and encourage you. You’re photographer should be someone who makes you feel relaxed and like you can be your goofy-self in front of! That’s what I want to capture, your awesome quirky personalities!

3. How your photographer makes you feel will show in your photos

If you’re trying too hard to pose or be in position for the perfect shot, it will show in your photos! And if you aren’t fully yourself and nervous, that will show too! The more you (and your friends/wedding party) enjoy being around your photographer, the better photos you will end up with. The most important part of hiring a wedding photographer is to have images that scream YOU and that you will love for the rest of your life, so really take your time to get to know the photographer and their work before you book, and make sure you read my recent post with 7 of the most important questions to ask before hiring a wedding photographer
