Grant Park is located in the business district of Chicago better known as The Loop. Grant Park holds Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, Buckingham Fountain, the Art Institute of Chicago, Congress Plaza and the Museum Campus.
Because all of these locations each have their own notable views, I wanted to highlight Congress Plaza, where the annual music festival, Lalapalooza, is held!
Congress Plaza is Chicago’s walking garden with two semicircular plazas, created by East Congress Plaza Drive and bisected by East Congress Parkway, (now known as Ida B Well Dr.). Grant Park’s plazas contain gardens, statues, and lead to the famous Buckingham Fountain that displays a water show every 20 mins during spring and summer months.
My favorite unique Chicago skyline view is from the Congress Parkway/Ida B Wells Dr. bridge over the Metra train rails! This is a skyline that many people do not think of when they think of Chicago, making these photos even more special!
There is always metered street parking on the west side of Michigan Ave on Wabash Street!
