Millennium Park is a community park located in the Loop right along Michigan Ave. The park within its self hold so many diffrent iconic Chicago areas including…
The park holds free events like music festivals, movie screenings, ice skating rinks in the winter, and public art shows! This space holds so many beautiful photographic backgrounds opportunities for your wedding or engagement photos!
Millennium park is one of the locations in Chicago that requires a filming & photography permit! If you plan to take photos here, plan in advance with your photographer to submit a permit application! You can learn more about that here.
Millennium park is definitely friendlier to those on foot! With it being in the Loop, parking can be a little trickier! I typically park on Wabash Street under the CTA L train. Wabash Street is all metered parking and is a block away from Millennium Park. If you can’t find parking there, apps like Park Whiz and Spot Hero are your best friends in the Loop!
If you’re taking your engagement or wedding photos at Millennium Park and are looking for other close by photo locations, the Art Institute of Chicago allows indoor photography and has a beautiful courtyard with a fountain that has a romantic European style! Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago are connected by a walking bridge making it so easy to jump from place to place. The walking bridge has this stunning view of Monroe Street! Check out photo locations at the Art Institute of Chicago here!
